If you’re like most, the idea of horseback riding while naked gives you pause. However, according to both legend and history, there once was a women that embraced the idea whole-heartedly because the ends would justify any means required. Her name, in case you’re wondering, was Lady Godiva. You’re probably more familiar with her surname …
This article was Inspired by an email exchange with a longtime reader of my work suggesting a topic for me to explore via a new post Let’s Start At The Very Beginning… Since the dawn of thoughtful conversation, Anthropologists, Psychologists, and Philosophers alike shared a common question: Why do human beings DO certain things and …
Yesterday I watched a new TED Talks video with rapt attention. Emerging from a nearly two-decades cocoon of shame and guilt, Monica Lewinsky stood before her captivated audience. As an articulate “butterfly,” she took flight with her plea for a collective awakening of digital compassion. Her words inspired me to write a new article as an extension of her vision. The whimsical wishes that filled our waking and sleeping dreams before adulthood now seem to only take place during slumbering respites in darkness.
Why? Why is being a “responsible adult” somehow equated with being dreamless? Why is whimsy regarded as a waste of time?
When considering your next career, pause and ask yourself this single question: “How do I align who I am with what I want to accomplish?”
cannot help but believe the catalyst to this lasting grace was my decision to embrace my “inner woo” the day prior. What on Earth do I mean you might wonder? Well, to be blunt, I chose to share my authentic and highest self. No longer would I need to mask my intuitions as “lucky guesses” or my insight as “learned during my scholastic pursuits.” Nope. Yesterday, I chose to reflect the source of who and what I am: Light.
